DX-1843 Modular Routers can provide SMB enterprises and branch offices of large enterprises with a high price per­formance solution so as to meet their requirements of interoperability and deliver concurrent services of voice, video and data at optimal throughputs
DX-1843 Modular Router adopts drawer-type modular design to provide flexible module configurations, mak­ing it more convenient to re­place modules on site.  Addi­tionally, DX-1843 can serve as access routers for applications of LAN-to-LAN and multiple services, adapted to small-to ­medium-sized enterprises, with many advantages such as high performance, security and reliability.

High Performance

DX-1843 Router supports routing speed of up to 120Kpps providing advanced QoS, security, and network integration features that would be required in today's evolving networks.

High Port Density

The modular architecture of the DX-1843 integrated router allows variety of interfaces to be populated on a compact unit. DX-1843 has 2#10/100 BaseT Ethernet ports, 2 # 10/100/1000 Base-T  Ethernet ports, 2 # open WAN slot for WAN Modules and one console port. The DX-1843 allows mix and match of any available modules on a single Chassis.

Integrating narrowband features

DX-1843 supports flexibility for various WAN interfaces including serial and ISDN, thereby meeting the application requirements of users for narrowband backup link, adapting the transition of carrier access lines, and providing the economical access choice for users.

Security and Reliability

DX-1843 provides the solutions of integrating data and security for middle/small enterprises and the security functions are inbuilt in the whole network, including firewall, PKI, AAA, SSH, attack proof, application identifying, traffic analysis and control, network-surf management, security access control and so on.
It supports IPSec VPN, MPLS VPN, L2TP, and GRE tunnel technologies, the port security, 802.1X, IPSOURCE GUARD, DHCP, SNOOPING, and ARP dynamic detection of the switching port.

QoS functions

IP networks will soon be required to provide QoS to satisfy the ever-growing business demands. DX-1843 routers can provide guaranteed bandwidth for various network services, with provision for queue management (such as PQ, FIFO and WFQ) and scheduling. DX-1843 offers a cost effective multifunction service platform for small-to-medium-sized enterprise applications.

Management

DX-1843 supports command line, SNMP, and TELNET. Each management mode can provide the local, remote and centralized maintenance methods, and the grading management mechanism; can provide the interconnecting support based on SNMP network management platform according to the carriers' demand. The perfect alarming, test, diagnosis, tracking and log functions can realize the locatable and traceable action auditing, strengthening the monitoring for the actions of the internal network.
