Introduction

Dax Dx-5024GSE is a high performance Layer L2/L4 SNMP Managed Gigabit Ethernet switch. It has 24 10/100/1000 Base–T ports and 4 Gigabit SFP shared ports. DX-5024GSE offers IPv6 and comprehensive network management functions, such as Spanning Tree protocol for standard bridging, GVRP for VLAN configuration, SNMP, RMON and Web based management.
QoS and Bandwidth management
Quality of Service is vital to ensure proper flow control and bandwidth management in a network to differentiate between time sensitive VoIP applications and other network data transmissions. With the IEEE 802.1p Quality of Service (QoS) feature and layer 2/4-packet classification, the DX-5024GSE provides the capability to prioritize various tasks on the network, a crucial function for integrating voice and data over a switched network.
Eliminate Network's Bottleneck
To secure the bandwidth for highly bandwidth demanding applications, the DX-5024GSE offers IEEE 802.3ad Link Aggregation. It boosts complete L2 switching performance and eliminates network bottlenecks with wire-speed switching capability. In addition to wire-speed switching, it also offers rich software feature sets, to manage and secure the whole network communication.
Advanced Network Security Mechanism
As networks grow and branch out to remote locations, network vulnerability increases in importance and administration complexity. Customers need to protect networks and network services from unauthorized access by remote users. DX-5024GSE provides multiple security algorithms such as Port security, SSL, Web Management Encryption, RADIUS and TACACS+ to protect data communication to ensure data privacy.
Great Fault Tolerance
Spanning Tree is a link management protocol that provides path redundancy while preventing undesirable loops in the network. DX-5024GSE delivers IEEE802.1D protocol, IEEE802.1s (Multiple Spanning Tree) and IEEE802.1w (Rapid Spanning Tree). Besides Spanning Tree for Fault-tolerance, DX-5024GSE also provides a redundant power supply inlet on the rear panel for power fault-tolerance to ensure a reliable system.
Safe Investment
In spite of using any additional hardware equipment for long range fiber connectivity , DX-5024GSE offers support for covering long distance using fiber up to 80Km based on the customer’s need. One of the great advantages is that it saves module inventory management.
IPv6 Features
IPv6 is an advanced version of IPv4; it provides more number of IP addresses than IPv4. The specification of the IPv6 protocol has been designed with scalability and backward compatibility in mind. This will allow many different kinds of devices besides PCs, like cell phones and home appliances, to more easily join the Internet in future.
