Introduction

Dax Dx-5710XCS is a high performance Layer 3, 10 slot chassis-based gigabit backbone switch. The switch is ideal for core network connectivity inside campus, enterprise networks, and aggregation layer of IP metropolitan networks. DX-5710XCS has 10 slots with 8 slots for Payload modules and 2 slots for Management Modules.

DX-5710XCS provides 44 gbps wire speed switching capacity per slot and 524Mpps packet forwarding rate. It can support a maximum of 16# 10G ports, 192 Gigabit Ethernet ports. The high switching capacity of the switch enables the Layer 2/3 traffic forwarding in at wire speed. DX-5710XCS supports various types of Network Interface (NI) modules, including Gigabit and 10G modules. The switch in addition also supports a variety of vital Layer 3 features such as Policy-based routing, IPv6, MPLS, BGP, etc.
