Introduction

Dax DX-5725GS-F is a high performance Layer L3 SNMP managed Gigabit Ethernet standalone switch. It has 24 Giga SFP Unpopulated ports and 8 10/100/1000 Base-T (Shared) ports. DX-5724GS-F supports IP routing that combines the speed  of a Layer 2 switch with the ability to route at a Layer 3 level and provides comprehensive network management functions - Spanning Tree protocol for standard bridging, GVRP for VLAN configuration, SNMP, RMON and Web management as its standard features.

QoS and Bandwidth management

Quality of Service is vital to ensure proper flow control and bandwidth management in a network to differentiate between time sensitive VoIP applications and other network data transmissions. With the IEEE 802.1p Quality of Service (QoS) feature and layer 3 packet classifications, the DX-5724GS-F provides the capability to prioritize various tasks on the network, a crucial function for integrating voice and data over a switched network.

Besides Spanning Tree for Fault-tolerance, DX-5724GS-F also provides a redundant power supply inlet on the rear panel for power fault-tolerance to ensure a reliable system.
