Introduction

Dax DX-0530P is a high performance chassis switch, which  consists of 4 slots. It can work with one or two management modules and 3 or 2 line card modules. It has business ports on the management modules that enable high density. With redundant power supply, fans and management modules, DX-0530P Switch ensures continuous Operation and full redundancy. All modules are hot swappable and field replaceable, and can be plugged or emoved  without interrupting the whole system.

DX-0530P switch is ideal for the core layer of campuses, enterprise networks and the aggregation layer of IP metropolitan networks.

Modularity and Flexibility

DX-0530P offers 4 slots: 2 for management module with optional redundancy and 2 Slots for line cards to switch between various port requirements based on the user's need. The switch also supports  additional power supply for redundancy. All Ports, Modules and transceivers loaded in operates directly at its standards with out any additional requirement of converters or adapters.

The switch supports 188 numbers of 10/100 BaseTX and 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet on copper and 13 of 10G ports. This provides a variety of choices on ports selection based on the requirement.

Redundancy and Survivability

DX-0530P offers redundant load sharing power supplies, hot swappable modules, with optional redundant CPU module support. The interchangeable fan tray ensures that the network stays up and runs. The switch offers Power on self test with diagnostics features for Management modules and power supply units connected and to detect hardware failures. In the event of full system failure the Syslog  provides full support to log data on the switch memory for after failure analysis. The LAN switch supports fast boot and non-disruptive expansion of memory to ensure that software upgrades do not disrupt the normal LAN switch operation. The switch supports both AC and DC power supplies which operate in 240V AC and -48V DC. The interchangeable FAN tray and the chassis design offer better cooling facility for the switch. The removal or addition of any card does not affect the traffic following through the switch. The modules are provided with necessary alarms (indicators) for indication of faults at various levels of hardware. The power down condition of switch does not affect the configuration saved in the switch.

 Advanced Enterprise Features

DX-05630P delivers high-performance hardware based IP routing. RIP , OSPF and BGP4 for both IPv4 & IPv6 and provide dynamic routing by exchanging routing information with other Layer 3 switches or routers. DX-0530P supports DVMRP, PIM Multicast Routing Protocols, which is used to send IP multicast traffic from one subnet to another and the support of VRRP prevents your system from failing by dynamically backing up multiple L3 switches for routing.

Comprehensive QoS

Traffic is prioritized according to 802.1p and DSCP, giving optimal performance to real-time applications such as voice and video. In addition the switch supports various features of QoS such as traffic prioritization, traffic shaping, Diffserv, Class based scheduling, WRR and Strict priority queue. Bidirectional rate-limiting, per port or per traffic class, preserves network bandwidth and allowing maximum control of network resources.

Virus and attack protection

Today's network face an increasing vulnerable virus threats and attack from the WAN and LAN users, to protect the network DX-0530P provides powerful network anti-virus and attack protection against such threats and vulnerability. DX-0530P provides traffic classification and speed-limiting for the data streams to the CPU to avoid the impact of the virus threats and attacks loading the CPU performance. The switch Provides ACL functionality, Supporting protection from source IP address spoofing, DOS/DDOS, S-ARP and ANTI Sweep as a security functionality to over come against such threats and attacks

Flexible System Management

DX-0530Pprovides an embedded user friendly web interface for simple configurations in the switch. The Switch can be managed and monitored via the SNMP protocol through any computer using a standard Network management Software or via any standard http web. DX-0530P supports Industry standard Command Line Interface (CLI) configuration via console port or Telnet for remote switch management.
