DX-5050MG switches are innovatively designed to improve LAN operating efficiency with high performance. It comes with 48-port 10/100Mbps ports, modular expansion for 2 Gigabit copper ports or 2 1000 Base miniGBIC ports and 2 Gigabit stack ports/uplink. It combines user friendliness with unsurpassed performance resulting in an exceptional value for any Enterprise Network. In addition to its Granular Rate Limiting feature, the switch has advanced feature like QoS and Bandwidth Management.

High-Performance, High Availability L2 Switching
The DX-5050MG is a wire-speed, high performance switch ideal for workgroups or departments. The DX-5050MG supports port Trunking with up to 4 trunk groups. It supports 8 ports in each group. Port Trunking provides business users to increase availability and aggregated bandwidth thus leading to a high level performance of the switch.

Configuration files can be loaded and saved for flexibility and reliability.
 
Highly Progressive Auto – Sensing technology 
Auto sensing capability allows the switch to automatically sense whether the network device is running at 10 Mbps or 100 Mbps, and then adjusting itself for optimal performance. Auto – Negotiating feature (full / half duplex) negotiates and runs the highest supported transmission rate, whether Half or Full Duplex. Auto MDI-MDIX offers auto- negotiating MDI-MDIX detection in all ports to eliminate the need of crossover cables or Straight cable.

Flexible Gigabit Uplink ports
Two Gigabit uplink ports are available which can support both Gigabit Copper as well as Gigabit Fiber (Single mode and multi mode) to allow network managers the flexibility to upgrade their networks.

The DX-5050MG supports a comprehensive set of security features for connectivity and access control, including ACL, RADIUS (Authentication), port-level security, and identity-based network services with 802.1x, TACACS, SSL and SSH. This set of comprehensive features not only helps prevent external attacks, but defends the network against intruder attacks, The IEEE 802.1D Spanning Tree Protocol support for loop-free networks improve fault tolerance and simplifies network configuration.
